It's important to review this policy completely before making a reservation. By securing a yacht through SableRiverGarden, you are accepting these terms for refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Total refund except for processing fees
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for credit card transactions
Conditions: Must be submitted formally through email or over the phone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half the cost of the total yacht rental
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the refund amount
Conditions: Legitimate reason required; administrative expenses may apply
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: No refunds will be given
Exception: Cases of urgency will be taken into consideration
Alternative: A voucher for booking another charter might be granted at the discretion of the management
Conditions: Emergency claims must be supported with proper documentation
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Assurance
The welfare of our clients is paramount. If the conditions are considered hazardous for the voyage by our qualified captain, we offer the following flexible solutions:
- Full Refund: Granted if rebooking is unfeasible
- Reschedule: Transfer your booking to an alternative date without extra costs
- Charter Credit: Issue of a voucher valid for one year from the original booking date
Weather Evaluation Procedure
We consider the following in our weather assessments:
- Examination of wind speeds and patterns
- Analysis of the ocean's wave elevations and current states
- Predictions of visibility and rainfall
- Notifications and advisories from the Coast Guard
- Safety appraisals from our expert captains
Decision Timeframe: Calls on weather-related cancellations are made at the latest 4 hours before the planned departure.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Urgent Situations
We are sympathetic to the fact that medical urgencies can occur. The following scenarios may be eligible for exceptional consideration:
- Sudden illness or injury necessitating hospital admittance
- Passing of a family member
- Unexpected military summons or deployment
- Being summoned for jury duty or under a subpoena
- Natural catastrophes impacting your journey
Documentation Criteria
In order to evaluate emergency refund appeals, we require:
- Medical clearance or hospital records
- Death certification (if relevant)
- Official military directives
- Notice of court summon or jury requirement
- Advisories or declarations related to emergencies
Proceeding: We will handle emergency refund claims within 3-5 business days following the receipt of the appropriate evidence.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Difficulties
If the boat allocated to you has mechanical faults that cannot be resolved promptly:
- Alternate Vessel: We will make an effort to source a similar substitute
- Full Refund: If no suitable replacement can be secured
- Partial Refund: If the alternative vessel leads to a price difference
- Compensation: We may offer additional recompense for the inconvenience caused
Crew Issues
On the rare occasion that licensed crew are unavailable:
- We will aim to organize a substitute crew where feasible
- A full refund is given if the charter can't proceed
- Opportunity to rebook without incurring extra fees
Refund Processing
Method of Payment
Refunds will be issued through the same channel utilized for the initial transaction:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days
Charges for Processing
Credit Card Transactions
€50 charge for terminations over 72 hours in advance
Bank Transfer Refunds
€25 charge for all reimbursements via bank transfer
International Operations
Supplementary charges might apply to transactions made internationally
Charter Credits
Circumstances for Credits
Credits for future bookings may be provided instead of refunds under certain conditions:
- Late notice cancellations (under 24 hours prior)
- Cancellations linked to weather
- Voluntary requests to change bookings
- Service disruptions
Credit Specifications
- Validity: 12 months from the date of issuance
- Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to other individuals
- Value: Equal to the full amount of the charter without deductions for processing
- Application: Available for use toward any open charter dates
- Expiration: Credits are not extendable beyond a 12-month period
Partial Service Refunds
Interruptions in Service
Should your chartered experience be curtailed or cut short due to factors under our control:
- A proportionate refund for the unutilized duration
- Credit for a forthcoming charter equal in value
- Gratuitous services or enhanced options
Guest-Induced Disruptions
If a charter is ended earlier due to the behavior or safety breaches by guests:
- No compensation for the part of the service not used
- The full balance remains payable
- Possible extra charges
Dispute Process
If you have objections to a refund judgement, you may:
- Appeal to our management for reconsideration
- Submit any additional paperwork or proof
- Turn to consumer rights groups for assistance
- Seek legal avenues according to the laws applicable

- Chosen method for the refund
Step 3: Evaluation and Implementation
Our team will send acknowledgment of your submission within a day, inspect it in relation to this policy, deliver a decision within 48 hours, and if sanctioned, proceed with the refund within the listed periods.
Significant Points
- Any claim for refunds must be composed and submitted in writing
- Refunds are given in €, which may differ from the original payment currency
- Purchasing travel insurance is highly recommended
- This policy might be updated, with a notice given 30 days beforehand
- Reimbursements are subject to the prevailing taxes and legal stipulations
